Frequently Asked Questions

What is On the 3’s?

On the 3’s provides monitoring services designed to help clients stay accountable and meet program requirements. Depending on the service ordered, this may include GPS monitoring, device check-ins, alcohol monitoring, and related compliance support.

How often should I charge my device?

Charge your device TWICE every day unless you have been specifically told otherwise. A good habit is to charge it at the same time each day, preferably when you are sitting still and can leave it connected long enough to build a solid charge.

How long should I leave the device on the charger?

Leave the device charging until it has had enough time to fully recharge. Do not unplug it early just because it has started charging. Daily full charging is the safest practice.

What happens if my device battery gets too low?

A low battery can cause missed location updates, alerts, or possible violations depending on your program rules. It is your responsibility to keep the device charged and working properly at all times.

What should I do if the charger stops working?

Contact On the 3’s immediately. Do not wait until the battery is dead. If possible, keep the charger and device together so staff can troubleshoot the problem quickly. You can purchase a new charger from the website. Shipping and handling apply.

Can I use any charger or cable?

Use only the charger and cable provided or approved by On the 3’s. Using the wrong charger may damage the device or prevent it from charging correctly.

Can the device get wet?

Unless you have been told your specific device is water-safe, keep it away from:

  • baths
  • swimming pools
  • hot tubs
  • lakes, rivers, and showers with direct soaking

Do not assume the device is waterproof.

Can I work, exercise, or do normal daily activities while wearing the device?

Usually yes. Normal daily activity is expected. However, avoid anything that could damage the device, block charging, or interfere with monitoring.

How should I care for the device?

Treat the device carefully at all times:

  • Keep it clean and dry
  • Do not hit it against hard surfaces
  • Do not pull, twist, cut, or pick at the strap
  • Do not place tape, wraps, or coverings over it
  • Do not expose it to extreme heat

What counts as tampering?

Tampering may include:

  • cutting or damaging the strap
  • trying to block the signal
  • opening the device
  • removing parts
  • interfering with charging
  • allowing the battery to die repeatedly

Any attempt to interfere with normal monitoring may be reported.

What if my device feels uncomfortable?

A monitoring device may feel unusual at first, but it should not be intentionally adjusted, removed, or altered by the client. If there is a legitimate issue, contact On the 3’s right away. .

What if the device shows the wrong location?

Location can sometimes vary briefly because of buildings, weather, signal interference, or poor cellular coverage. Continue following your program rules and report true technical issues to staff. .
